Private label rights product of quality called Real Guys Real Money is available starting today is changing the face of internet marketing by raising the standard of expectations from potential customers.

For the next seven days, a private label rights product of quality will be for sale called Real Guys Real Money. This PLR product is unique in several ways. For one thing, the three guys behind the product are selling this product for an extra ordinarily low price considering the amount of content available for an entrepreneur who is looking for a product to sell that has it all there and needs only to be rebranded in such a way as to make them look like a genius. You’ve never seen a product like this considering what all is included for such a low price. In this case, the low price does NOT mean low quality…take a look and you will immediately see the difference from other products online.

This product stands alone on a level of completeness. Everything is there for the purchaser to make a lot of money from a high standard product. This is not a hyped up product that is full of fluff or has empty spots where content should be. It really is a product that overdelivers. It contains everything it says it does and more. I believe that marketers Jeff Wellman, Paul Counts and Eric Holmlund have raised the bar of what a customer should be able to expect from a PLR product.

Internet marketing has gotten a bad reputation in the last few years because some marketers have thrown junk out on the market and promised customers the moon…and instead delivered blue cheese instead. The bar needed to be raised in the quality of products for sale and the Real Guys believe that it is time to provide products that stand very high over and above the other products available to potential customers. Each one of the Real Guys has a loyal customer base from past customers who are thrilled at the products and services that each brings to the table.

If you are looking to make money online, don’t get scammed by marketers that promise you jillions of dollars for merely clicking a button and having an instant online business. That is never going to happen. For one thing, an online business requires you to invest some elbow grease. Anything worth having is worth working for. The they have simply done a lot of the work for you…made it easier for you to make money in less time because they have eliminated a lot of the background work that goes behind each and every product that gets sold in the online money making products available for sale.

Go check out this product and see for yourself what the Real Guys can deliver to a person who is looking to earn some Real Money in a legitimate way online. Check out the comments left behind by satisfied customers from each of these marketers past products if you aren’t sure that they are who they say they are!

A fall day, full of colorful scenery is enjoyed, observed, and described.

This past weekend was a slice of Heaven. The weather was perfect for
getting out and exploring the festive display of the master artisan’s
hand as he has painted the world around us here in Michigan. The gorgeous
trees have suited up in their fall finery to call attention to the natural
beauty that has been chomping on the bit to catch the attention of all of
those seasonal tourists with their fancy digital cameras.

I can tell you, after driving a goodly amount around the upper mid-western
part of the state, that we hit the jackpot with all of it’s bells and whistles
this weekend. Another week, and the wind and rain will pretty much wipe away
the coloration of the trees and shrubs, like a toy etch a sketch shaken by a
toddler’s excitable hand.

However, back to the description of the scenery. Everywhere we went there
was color…except for one patch of roadway where the predominant trees were
oak trees…and as everyone knows, those trees are pretty much brown paper bag
in color at this time of the year. Not that there is anything wrong with brown
paper bag color…except when you are excitedly looking for splashes of red,
gold, peach, burgundy and shades of various greens. It can be a might
disappointing to only view brown while looking for a tapestry of color.

Having faith that there was more to see; we continued on. It wasn’t long
before we some some almost indescribable oranges that looked as though they were
patently lit from some spiritual realm. There were trees that went from apricot
to tangerine, to pumpkin orange, to a peachy yellow. This would be wonderous enough,
except that some of those oranges were then tipped with the paint of a
brush that had been dipped into a bucket of rust colored paint. This made for
visual images hard to forget. How did they compare then to the other colors we
saw before us?

Ahhh, let’s see if I can do justice to the yellows that were interwoven
throughout the picturesque landscape. I have to say that there were ribbons of
yellow dividing the riotous reds, greens, browns and oranges.

I like the interesting shades of yellow…because they are often blended
with different colors along with the yellows…and yet, the yellows are not to be
outdone. The vibrant yellows can stand alone or they can go toe to toe with the
greens and oranges that hold hands often on the same leaf. The lemonony yellows
look so crisp when the green veins divide and separate the sections. It adds
highlights to the soft buttery yellows that evolve into a melon color peach as the
apricot and yellow mix on those viney ropes that climb into the trees tinged with
a burgundy leaf here and there. The sassafras puts on a magnificient display as
well, low to the ground, underneath these trees along the roadways.

Add into this mix, the dark evergreen trees that look so solid that you
would never guess that that dark green is their everyday apparel because it looks
so beautiful up next to all of these splashy colors. If one didn’t have the dark
green to provide a backdrop to their festive fall colors it would look like chaos.

Now, the dark evergreen trees aren’t the only greens to appreciate. I like
the lemon-lime colors that touch some of the maple trees. It adds freshness to the
scene. Then there is the green grass green that otherwise would appear as non-
descript. Then the occasional silver maple with it’s grey-green leaves with it’s
silver fluttery leaves reminds us that green can take various forms.

Sometimes, the leaves aren’t the only thing of interest. I like the
surprising, and attention seeking white bark of the birch trees. Then the dappled
dull silver of the popular tree. Then knotty brown of the pine tree with their
leggy stance seem to stand guard over the whole picture.

The browns seem to mix in with their cocoa color, and their leathery brown
leaves, as well as their crispy rusty brown oak leaves. I have even seen the off
center browns that were tinged with a brandy colored brown that always amaze me
with their own beauty.

It is hard to find a shade of red that is unlikeable. We saw everything
within the window of red shades. There was a candy apple red, a cherry red,
burgundy, rust red, barn red, reddish pink blush into a plain old reddish- brown. Is
it not amazing to view all of this and not be reminded of the artistry of God when
it is put together with all of his other creations?

We sat under a cornflower blue sky, with white puffy clouds that were chasing
each other across the sky. This was broken only by one brief downpour in an otherwise
clear day. While we sat alongside the river, watching the salmon swim up the fish
ladder in their last valiant attempt at displaying their strength in the current before they gave their lives to bring in a new
generation of fish to replenish the earth; my friend next to me said…”there is only
one thing missing; an eagle”. Can I tell you that it was just minutes later when a
beautiful eagle flew over the tops of the trees and with it’s white head impressed us
all, with the contrast of it’s body against the clear blue sky and the power with which it flew.

It was a great way to celebrate the beauty of the world in which God gave us
to live and breathe. It is important to get out in nature and relax…observe the cycle of life!

Rapid Cash Marketing teaches methods of earning money through internet marketing skills and techniques in a realistic way to add cash to your pockets.

This time of year is difficult for many people financially. It is hard to come up with enough cash to meet all of your needs normally but then you throw in the cost of the holidays as well as the extra money needed to heat your homes during the winter and it can become overwhelming. Everyday there are people looking to the internet to learn how to add to their incomes. Job loss and financial uncertainity is frightening when you don’t know how you will find the cash to pay your bills or feed your family. For those who have searched seriously for a program or solution to their problem, they have discovered that many of those programs or coaches cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars; if not thousands, that they just don’t have to spend.

However, for those that do spend….they are quickly overwhelmed when they discover the amount of new skills and knowledge that they must acquire before they can even begin to make lots money…not to mention the discouragement that sets in when they realize how long it will be before they learn enough to make that huge investment of money back. It just isn’t practical to spend thousands and wait 12 months to 2 years to learn enough knowledge and skills to make your money back. Marketing is a system for selling products or services; and, because it is a system…that means there are many components.

What if you could learn some of the techniques that would bring in enough money to pay an extra bill or two a month? Would that be a benefit to you? I am sure that it would. Rapid Cash doesn’t promise to make you millions or guarantee that you will be driving a new car in a week…that is foolishness. On the other hand, Rapid Cash can add enough cash to your pocket to help take some of the pressure off the average person’s monthly struggles http://tinyurl.com/djr2a7 .

You see, what alot of those big named gurus and their programs promise you is unrealistic when you think about it. In their sales pages and videos…they are flaunting their cars, their mansions and piles of money. Yes it is possible to acquire those things; however, what they often don’t tell you is that it has taken them years and tons of money to learn how to earn the kind of skills and knowledge needed to make that happen. It does not happen overnight like that for the average person. It takes alot of work…and a whole lot of expert help to get to that level.

People are often manipulated by those ads to believe that they can achieve that level of success quickly. Realistically, learning is a process and everyone has to start somewhere. I am an affiliate for Rapid Cash Marketing. http://tinyurl.com/djr2a7 They teach you how to use skills and knowledge to earn extra money while you learn those other things about making money online, learning a proven, in- depth internet marketing system that can lead to a higher level of internet marketing success.

There is a team of coaches who are there to teach you how to pick up extra cash to supplement your income with skills that you may already have or can quickly develop. They are knowledgable in many areas and use these skills themselves to earn money online. Do you have digital photo experience, interviewing skills, graphic arts skills, writing skills, direct marketing skills, writing sales letters, video skills, voice over abilities, editing skills, etc? The list goes on…but, if you could learn how to use those skills in an effective way to earn enough money to take the edge off of your present financial situation it would be a blessing right?

If you are willing to learn and willing to take action towards achieving some financial success online then check out this link: http://tinyurl.com/djr2a7 Yes, I will get a financial reward if you were to purchase…but, if their program improved your finances; then, I think you would thank me anyway! I think you will see the wisdom in investing a small amount of money that will quickly repay your investment if you put in the effort to do what the successful internet marketers Jeff Wellman, Dixie Brown, and Paul Counts instruct you to do.

Some people are concerned that Twitter is going to destroy blogging. Is it possible? How are Twitter and blogging like shorthand or a good novel; or, an all you can eat buffet or a fast food restaurant?

I read an intriquing statement on Twitter today…it kind of blew me away. Actually, it wasn’t a statement it was more of a question; it said, Is Twitter destroying blogging? Wow, that was kind of a loaded question for me. I love Twitter and I love blogging…can’t have my two digital “friends” duking it out, ya know what I mean?

I love Twitter because it is immediate. It is the thought process and relationship equivillant of instant gratification. That is pretty addictive for most people. On the other hand, blogging is the process by which a thought, a statement or an idea is presented in a deep and meaningful way. It is the vehicle through which a post can be fleshed out.

I like to think of it this way, Twitter is verbal shorthand. It is clear, concise, direct and immediate. Who doesn’t love that when time is short and people want to connect to others and not feel isolated in the midst of their day. Blogging is more like a novel or a streaming consciousness. It is a full on conversational connection; if comments are encouraged, embraced and followed up on.

Or for those of you who are more visual; think on this:

Twitter is like fast food and blogging is more like an all you can eat buffet. Both are tasty, both meet the need and both have their fans. But, when you combine them…you get a fullness of good food, tastiness, and service. Both have their place and serve their purpose.

Twitter doesn’t have to replace blogging just because time is short and people have limited attention spans. After all, there will be down time eventually for longer reads if they are temporarily short on time. Blogging (or reading blogs) isn’t always possible because of demands on a person’s time. However, Twitter can be a blogger’s best friend by simply being an immediate word of mouth referral (or an advertising)…an introduction of sorts. It is like being invited to a party where you know no-one. Then, the host of the party (Twitter) introduces you to people who share the same interests as you, have connections that will bless you; and maybe, just maybe, you will discover that your blog and some of Twitter’s referrals have mutual friends that you both know and love. That also works in reverse…your Twitter stream can be enriched by the readers of your blog. Don’t you just love it???

Everyone has a life story. While living it & discovering what your purpose is could you write it & use your life story to benefit others? Would it be a good read?

It is said that every person has a life story. I believe that is partially true. I think that a person’s life has many life stories. Their life story is an example of a person, their circumstances, and their resolution of those circumstances. It can be and should be part of their legacy. The question is, do many people even recognize what their life story is? A life story should be recognized for it’s value while you are living it. If you are of a benevolent mindset, you will realize that your life story has a purpose…one that others could learn from. It could have the power to touch lives, transform lives and empower them to live their life story to the fullest. Often people read biographies of people who are famous or who have been instrumental during a certain part of history. It is because someone has taken the time to write it down. I wonder, if we each took the time to write our life stories would it be a good read?

Have you ever read a book that was boring, or seemed to have no direction or purpose? Some people live their life that way. Often, people will reach a point in their life when what they value most is threatened or is lost to them. It is only then that they understand why they value what they do…and what they were supposed to do with the gifts that they were blessed with. For others, it is the trying times in their life that seems to highlight some sort of life lessons that they were meant to teach, inspire or encourage others with.

My pastor says that there is a difference between purpose and assignments. He says that we are trusted with many assignments; and, that they are in alignment with our pupose in life but, that we only have one true purpose. What do you think your life story is? What are you supposed to accomplish? Do you think it would benefit anyone to read your life story if you were to write it? What would it say…what would you wish to communicate to others if you had the opportunity?

Learning internet marketing is a little like putting together the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. You will find that it is in your best interest to find those pieces in one place.

Ok, the thing about internet marketing is…there are many pieces of the puzzle that no one tells you about in the beginning. So like most people, you start out thinking…ok, I need a product to sell, I sell it, I make money, and I enjoy the fruits of my labors! Whaaalaaaaaaaah…..I am an internet marketer. Except, after you buy a program from some big marketing guru for more money than you have to spend (typically); you find out that they didn’t tell you that you needed program x, y, & z to achieve your goal. Which of course, costs you more money! That just doesn’t seem right, does it?

Or say you hear about a seminar somewhere that is being hyped and promoted as the next best thing…perhaps the only other thing you are missing in your marketing goals. So you purchase a ticket to the event, rent a room at a hotel, purchase a plane ticket, pocket some spending money for meals (lots of money if you are smart-because food at these posh hotels doesn’t come cheap); and off you go, expecting to learn everything you need to know to make you successful. You learn something alright…you learn that you have to jump in with both feet. Networking, connecting, absorbing, gaining contact information and you learn how to go without sleep for 3 days while you try to retain every bit of knowledge that is given to you. You become overloaded with information that you may or may not know what to do with.

There is product creation, niche marketing, hosting, servers, auto responders, email marketing, copywriting, jv partners, promotions, SEO/online traffic…etc. You get the idea; it is doable, believe it or not. You may even possess skills that will help you be successful. You may just need guidance to achieve your goals. One of the first thing a good coach will tell you is…you don’t have to know all of these things yourself/you don’t have to learn all of those skills. Just do the things you love and are good at and outsource or partner with someone who has skills in the areas that you are lacking…that is how the big dogs do it! You can too. You dont have to spend a fortune either; a smart marketer learns to barter or trade skills with another person who needs your skills or knowledge and who has some that would benefit you!

While seminar events are beneficial in many ways…the thing to remember is that they are only a part of the puzzle. You have to do your homework both before and after, the event. Relationships are key to much of what you do online; never forget that. But, internet marketing is not something that you learn overnight. It is not a get rich scheme; there is money to be made but it happens over time. You can make some money more quickly by doing freelance work with some of the skills you already have or have recently learned…but in general, it is not the kind of money that some big named gurus try to make you think you can earn, immediately with little or no work! Be wise.

If you are seriously wanting to learn how to make money online…understand it is a process. There are people out there willing to coach you and teach you what you want and need to know. Some of them will charge you thousands and thousands of dollars for their time, attention, and their programs. Not everyone thinks like that though. There are coaches who truly do make sure that you get all of the pieces of the puzzle to work with in creating your own online presence. Check out this program: http://bit.ly/srhVX

There is a program out there that is making a big impact on the lives of their students. It is called Autopilot Wealth Institute. The coaches are four experts who take the challenge of teaching you what you need to know seriously; they are committed to your success. Have you ever tried to put together a jigsaw puzzle only to find that there are pieces of the puzzle missing? I have…it is no fun.

This past winter we took on a family project of putting together a very large jigsaw puzzle. It was new and we were excited. We worked for a week straight as a family; only to find that we were missing one piece. It was not in the bag in the puzzle box. We searched high and low. It was the only piece. We talked about what to do…should we mount the puzzle on a piece of cardboard and color in that piece; trying to hide the fact that it was missing? Should we tear it all apart and take it back to the store? Hmmm….what to do. My husband came up with a plan to go back to the store and purchase another puzzle with the exact same picture on it…just to get that one piece. It worked alright, i have the picture hanging on the wall to prove it. However, it left us feeling a bit frustrated for having to spend more money to get what we thought we were supposed to already have in our possession!

Some people learn to do internet marketing in that same kind of way. They buy programs that overlap one another just to find that one missing piece that they have not been able to learn yet; costing themselves alot of extra money. You shouldn’t have to purchase programs `ala carte or piece by piece just to learn how to market something online. Any comprehensive program that is teaching internet marketing should have all of the basic puzzle pieces in it.

If you are interested in learning from internet marketing coaches who are committed to teaching you in a way that helps you to succeed…I would recommend the merged talents of internet marketers: Jeff Wellman, Dixie Brown, Paul Counts and Keith Wellman. They each have expert status in different areas of marketing which will supply you with the skills, knowledge and techniques to accomplish your goals. They know how to supply you with any pieces of the puzzle that you think you may be missing!

If you are interested in any of these programs or subjects: IM Tech Talk, Traffic Generation Blueprints, Million Dollar Advantage Program, Rapid Cash Marketing Course http://bit.ly/srhVX then that is where you will find the answers to your questions.

In fact, speaking of questions…one of the great aspects of this program and these coaches, is that they take the time each week (sometimes for hours) to answer the questions that their students may have about any area where they have encountered obstacles. This is a great asset for their students. No one gives anyone a hard time…in fact, usually when one person asks a question…others chime in and say…i wanted to ask the same question. Often, someone will ask YOUR question before you even get the opportunity to ask it yourself. No question is dumb if it is stopping you from going forward with your goals. See if what these marketers have to offer is for you! http://bit.ly/srhVX They will help you put the pieces of your business/website puzzle together so that you get what you are looking for; a completed project.

Frank McCourt the author of, Angela's Ashes passed away today. He wrote of an impoverished childhood and his journey to adulthood. His ordinary life became extra-ordinary in it's ability to overcome.

Sad news was announced today that author Frank McCourt, of Angela’s Ashes fame, has passed away. Mr. McCourt had melanoma skin cancer, a very dangerous and potentially fatal form of skin cancer. He came down with meningitis a couple of weeks ago; and struggled since that time. His brother, Malachy McCourt, announced a few days ago that he was not expected to survive. Today, Frank McCourt’s passing came at age 78.

Frank McCourt was well loved by both his students and by those who were captivated by his works. Frank McCourt started life in the most humble of circumstances and by most accounts his ordinary life was rooted in misery and poverty. As a young child living in Ireland, that poverty was ordinary for many families. Frank’s father was an alcoholic who drank all of the family money away, which normally would have gone to support and feed his wife and children. Frank’s goal was to get to America and begin an ordinary life and help support his family. He took on the responsibilities of a man in his teenaged years.

Often you see this kind of strength of character in a young man who has lost a father to death, to disability or some other difficult life circumstance. They take on the role of the father as a supporter, often a disciplinarian for younger siblings and an encourager for the mother figure. His “ordinary life” became extra-ordinary when he documented his struggles to survive in the book, Angela’s Ashes, which was published when Frank was in his 60′s. His ability to communicate and use descriptive words in his creative writing helped him to achieve success. That is along time to wait for financial and literary success. However, he had success in other areas of his life.

Frank did get to America where he taught creative writing in New York. He enjoyed teaching his students and sharing his life’s stories with them. He got an agent in 1996 which resulted in getting the book published. It created quite the sensation; and eventually became a movie. His skillful writing took his orndinary life and turned it into something extra-ordinary…it created a responsive reader…one who could empathasize with the child, the situation and the journey of overcoming!

Mr. McCourt began to get alot of attention once his book was published. He once expressed his dismay at all of the attention. What both shocked and dismayed him was the reaction of people he had known for a long time; he said, they looked at him differently. He pondered why they had never looked at him that same way when he was ONLY a teacher of students. It is something that continues to amaze many people…books seem to afford their authors credibility that other life skills do not. It elevates the author to the status of an expert in the eyes of many readers.

The ability to experience some of the worst life has to offer a child & young adult; and, still write it in a way that not only moves the reader through a range of emotions powerful enough to make them feel as if they need to rescue the characters; but, also skillfully finds humor and explanations is a rare gift. It is one that Frank McCourt had. He wrote of a life of poverty (many have experienced it’s sense of despair) and made people react to it. His writing skills will be missed…and for those who knew him, so will he.

It is important to evaluate your relationships and be aware of those who are toxic and would drain you of your physical, spiritual, emotional, business energy.

I had been thinking about a blog post for a little while about people who attach themselves to you in an unhealthy way and sap the strength and energy right out of you; and then, I saw a friend on Twitter who mention letting some unhealthy business relationship go by the wayside. Once she did that, she received two or three new clients that filled the gap and brought a breath of fresh air.

I had a visual picture in my head when she said that. I had a picture in my head, of my garden. You see, in the last week my garden has been under attack. Some kind of a pest, sight unseen has been silently but diligently tapping into the health and well-being of my very large, healthy tomato plants. Where just a week ago they stood tall, proud and pregnant with life precariously attached to their limbs…now they are wilting and dying a premature death. Something toxic has entered their system and is doggedly draining the life right out of them.

Toxic relationships will do the same thing to people with healthy minds, bodies, spirits and businesses. You must learn how to determine when a parasite has attached itself to your life force. When you are pouring yourself into a relationship (and getting little or nothing back in return) while being asked to help someone survive…your energy is being highjacked or stolen from you. If you have put your own goals or well being aside, to meet the needs of another, with the best of intentions only to have that person set back and allow you to do all of the work to “help” them…you are dividing up your life force (that was meant to give fullness of life to one) to barely sustain the emotional, physical or spiritual life of two persons. This is not healthy.

Learn how to dig out the roots of the weeds, in your life, that seek to steal the nurturing elements from you before they take root in the areas of your life where you are meant to thrive and produce fruit. In doing this, you are doing right. You see, you can not enable someone else to be a leach; and, still be doing them a good turn. Everyone is meant to be a healthy and productive person. It is not selfish to want and need a fullness in your life. To fulfill your purpose…you must care about nurturing yourself in a way that is healthy and productive. Then and only then, can you be a gifter out of abundance…not out of sympathy and a half empty reserve of energy. Have you evaluated your relationships lately?

I am blessed to have a yard with personality. When we first moved into our home, the yard resembled an abandoned field somewhere. The grass was tall enough that you couldn’t see the house from the road, up on a knoll. The driveway was washed out and the whole place looked abandoned. Today, my yard and gardens stand out declaring their contrasting and flamboyant style. It is a yard that is a colorful riot of transition. We have built and designed small areas, around the almost 5 acre plot, to have small individual tapestries of color and texture.

In the entrance of the yard, is the driveway. When you first drive in, you see two very large, showy lilac bushes of a reddish grape color; and, one of a light lilac pink splash on the opposite side of the driveway. Straight away, dead on is a very old and dilapilated arbor that had made a statement attesting to it ability to outlast anything newly purchased.

Oh, to be sure, the lattice work is warped here and there; a little out of alignment with it’s orginal design..but, that is alright…it has staying power. Besides, the arbor has been integrated with the beautiful coral trumpets that push through the white, peeling slats of the lattice work and the dark, shinny green foliage of the trumpet vine itself. Its aged vines have woven themselves throughout, until they are somewhat tree-like in their strength. The vines are twisted and knotted like an elderly great -grandmother’s hands that have lovingly provided for her family over the years. It has earned it’s bends and twists by being adaptable to the growing environment.

If, I were so bold and destructive, why I could cut the lattice work and unweave it from the web of vine; but, I admire the arbor’s desire to stand there and make a statement about it’s ability to stand and deliver. It’s a bit tilted despite it’s original, solid 4 x 4 construction, many a year ago.

Now, I forgot to mention the airy and pristine white of the delicate, bridal veil (white spirea) bush that stands next to the grape colored lilac bush. As you drive around the tear drop shaped circle drive, you will pass a strand of four differing types of apple trees. As we speak here, they are in various degrees of dressed up pink and white star shaped blossoms that flutter to the ground as the beautifully scented air mixes a smell to rival the best canned air freshener you can buy on the market.

At the foot of the apple trees are the day lillies of varying colors…still just sporting their dark, spiky green foliage. They are awaiting warmer weather to dot the canvas with their showy, single and double petaled flowers. In between this are a few scattered rose bushes that are struggling to survive the occasionally, and unpredictably waterlogged clay soil that is mixed with the rocky gravel from the driveway. Under laying this is the emerald green myrtle ground cover with it’s beautifully, low to the ground peri-winkle star shaped flat flowers. In a tarzan attempt to stretch to great feats of purpose is a purple wisteria that took many years to finally bloom; after almost being consumed in a fire. It’s drooping grape -like cluster of flowers look lush over the homemade arbor going into the secret garden area.

As you enter that…there is a hugely over large honeysuckle bush that defies any attempts to keep it in line; with the limited pathway to the small wooden bride that crosses over two largely neglected man-made ponds. They are filled with a burst of lemony yellow irises that are almost ready to appear. Along behind that, is a beauty bush that smells like cinnamony cloves when the weather warms it’s pretty pale pink, deep bell -like flowers that the bees can not resist buzzing. Behind those bushes are some more lilacs…this time in the common lilac color along with a new younger white lilac that has chosen to produce some double blossoms. Here and there I have added one of my greatest loves; that is asiatic and oriental lillies. The oriental lillies have the strongest scent…they are clove-like in scent…and at night… they entice you to walk among them and just inhale for the joy of it! There are some that are white- and some that are scarlet with a deeper magenta accents…they are called stargazers. Those are the lillies that inspire a person to a sensual awakening.

If you continue to travel on…there is a small straight row of medium pink peonies mixed with some crowding bishops weed with it’s tall spiky white flowers which resemble Queen Anne’s Lace but to me doesn’t quite measure up. A green grape grows on the corner of the pagoda here. Then, there is the campfire area where we will be spending much time this summer.

Crossing the driveway once again you see the main garden in the center of the teardrop driveway. There is another small man made pond. This one has a wooden deck built around it with a wide variety of flowers meant to produce a richer tapestry of colors and smells. Here you will find japanese koi in the pond along with some black and some gold fish. There are water lillies still to come…some white, some pink, one yellow. Only the pink one smells, much to my sadness. Surrounding this pond is another apple tree, also in full blossoms at the moment. There is at the foot of that…some variegated hostas, sweet lilly of the valley, some bleeding hearts, more rose bushes, some ajuga with it’s deep purple, spring flowers that are low to the ground.

Around the perimeter of the teardrop you will find a mix of perrenials and annual flowers. There are multiple day lillies, roses, catcuses, virginia bluebells, a wild rose bush, snap dragons, moss roses, irises, tulips-some that are flaming yellow with red streaks or, as I call them…my pretty painted ladies.

Around the waterfall, is some wild butterfly weed, some pink mallow, marigolds, dark purple clematis on a fancy metal trellis. In a half of a blue barrel is planted some annuals , some geraniums…and what I am told is called, the American running bean-or as Thomas Jefferson (deceased American President) once called the most beautiful bean plant ever created. That is an unusual plant. In the fall, it gets a deep burgundy pod (looks like an overlarge green bean pod). During the summer, it gets a two toned flower a light pink and a darker purple petaled flower climbing up the vine. Truly lovely to look at.

Around the chicken coops we have planted some pear trees, some more day lillies, a current bush, some blackberries, and some rhubarb. Turning to the right…you will see a chainlink fence that surrounds the food garden. The fencing is a necessary evil to protect against the maurading deer and rabbits that come to feast on the bounty that is my yard. I dont mind sharing a wee little bit…however…the stems and leaves that they leave behind …truly don’t amount to much food for the family.

So, I suffer the indignity of the fence and disquise it behind a wall of morning glories who are more than proud to show their pretty pantaloons of pink, white and purple as they flutter in the breeze. As a backdrop behind the food plants, I make sure that i plant two rows of dancing sunflowers…just so that the birds are tempted to come and graze; hopefully they are gratefully distracted by the tempting sunflower morsels that they leave the garden produce alone. Ha…it is my attempt to find a balance between the need to grow food and nurture nature.

In my garden you will find peace, you will find artistry, you will find butterflies and hummingbirds, and a few random bees. The garden was meant to please and to instill a desire to admire beauty. The wind chimes tickle the ear with their different tones from a high tinkling to a throaty singing; I love them all. Mix in the flapping of the United States flag and the Marine Corps flag as they snap in a brisk wind and you have a day to brag about. During this Memorial weekend…it is a sense of patriotic pride that causes me to look up and remember why that flag is allowed to fly free…because our military men and women have fought for and defended this country to give us the right to live freely. They deserve our respect and gratitude not just on this weekend…but every other day of the year for the sacrifice they have given.

I am most thankful for my painted ladies…I can dine with them, I can sit and stare…they don’t seem to mind a bit. I can relax in my own back yard and enjoy the freedoms earned by our miliary men and women around the globe; my own family members have served and, I am proud of them. I try to thank members of the armed forces whenever I can. In fact, I encourage you to send thank you cards to this non-profit project at: http://www.make2tell2.com/ . They deserve our thanks and our support.

In honor of those who serve our country daily, I will try to find an opportunity to post a picture or two of my yard this year! I hope that when they come home, from whatever post they have served at; that they would have a garden of peace to enjoy as well. Please pray for our service people…they can never be thanked enough for what they go through. Would you like to see some pictures of the painted ladies? Or have I described them well enough?
