Last year 100 million dollars was raised to help fight cancer in an unprecedented way. All three major television networks joined together to do a broadcast announcing the plan to join together to raise funds and raise awareness in the battle against cancer. Celebrities, newspeople, researchers and medical professionals and everyday people have combined their efforts. Now, there are 5 teams that are going to put that money to use, to come up with the best solutions to battle cancer.
This is groundbreaking news in this fight. The statistics are frightening…1 out of every 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime; for men, it is even worse, 1 out of every 2. So unless you are a family of one, with no friends and you are the luckiest person in the whole wide world…cancer is going to touch someone you care about, at some point. If you haven’t had to deal with the enemy cancer yet…consider yourself blessed beyond reason. Everyone is touched by cancer whether it be personally or by knowing someone who has had to fight the fight.
This is a declaration of war that is being announced. Oh, Rainy!
So much money is spent for such dismal results. It hardly seems fair that some people must suffer so other people can run, walk, bike–you name it, all in order to pay for expensive, painful treatments that may not be efficacious. Not only that, but folks must wrangle with insurance companies, medical details, and then be sick, weak and lose the quality of their lives.
What can we learn from this hideous disease?
It seems folly to continue to throw cash at a problem and go back for more of the same, expecting different results.
WHAT IF…we concentrated on love, forgiveness of others and our SELVES and changed the way we live to use pure foods and water, to simplify and eliminate stress and studied ways of allowing our bodies to heal themselves from the inside out?
I am holding a vision of all people living with perfect health and being in an harmonious earthly home. That doesn’t bring in hoards of cash and some segments of our population will “lose control” but oh, well…wouldn’t WELLNESS and HARMONY be worth it?
