When a person is down and out like Ted Williams was and living homeless on the streets it is easy to think money is the answer. However, money doesn't fix everything.

When someone doesn’t have enough money to meet their daily needs it is easy to think that putting their hands on a boatload of money would just fix just about everything wrong in their life. Yet, if you look around and observe the world you start to see just how wrong that is because money doesn’t fix everything.

There are rich people with just as many problems as poor people. In fact, often having too much money is often more of a curse. Some rich people try to hold on to as much of it as they can and don’t pay their rightful taxes on it; going to prison over that concept. Look at people who struggle with an over-abundance and you will see what I am talking about. Think about some of those music or movie stars that you see them plastered all over the tabloid papers strung out on drugs or alcohol; hanging with the wrong crowd and getting into legal troubles. Some are homeless or about to be due to financial mismanagement. Family secrets come out and many times, it is because someone feels slighted at not being “given” enough from that person. Friends and acquaintances sell stories about them to the media…loyalty and true friendship are tested because of the temptation to “sell them out” for money.

It isn’t unheard of to read about a wealthy family who is going head- to- head over who is getting what, when one of their own passes away and doesn’t handle distributing that wealth evenly to their family, friends, or their caregivers. Even someone who has money and passes away can be sued (at least their estate can). Sad isn’t it?

People who live on the street and are homeless are often without the basics in life because of a lack of money. In fact, Ted Williams made the news recently as a homeless person who was recorded, on tape, by a reporter carrying a sign proclaiming his God given voice in the hopes of getting a job doing voice overs or radio work because of his talent.

It worked…in a matter of days he was carried along on a media whirlwind that took him from coast to coast in the United States doing interviews…receiving jobs offers and offers of a place to live. He did heartfelt interviews talking about his past addictions (2 yrs of sobriety he claimed) and run ins with the law. He was on a high of emotion from the sudden shift in his luck and station in life…given a second chance to turn things around. I am sure in the back of his mind when he was sleeping alongside the highway in a tent…he probably thought; if only I could get my hands on some money everything will be alright! Many people would probably think that.

The truth of the matter is that he was still drinking. He was still in denial. He had a meeting with his mama, who he hadn’t seen in years, where she told him basically not to let her down this time. She had prayed for him to turn his life around and to be safe. To me that spoke of the hurting journey of a parent (or loved one) to a person who has struggled with long term addictions. This proved to be true. The media started to say how hard it was going to be for him to suddenly be financially better off and not be tempted to go back to his old ways.

Now news reports say that Dr. Phil has done a series of three interviews with Ted and his family members out of concern about his sobriety and his addictions. One of Ted’s 9 children allegedly got into some kind of confrontation in a hotel in California where the police were called. Since this time, Ted Williams has allegedly agreed to go into rehab after confessing that he has been drinking still.

Before this, it was touted that all of Ted’s struggles were over because of his sudden good luck. The offers of money, jobs, and media attention seemed like a miracle opportunity for him. It still could be; if he does what Dr. Phil and his family truly want and need him to do which is to deal with the reasons behind his addictions and commit himself to recovery. His relationships can be improved upon… possibly even healed from years of hurt and disappointments. His opportunities will still be there for him to pursue when he is rooted in a real recovery. You see, money doesn’t fix everything…it can be a tool to turn his world upside right again, or it can be the tool that destroys him.

So many of us wanted to buy into the story of a lucky Ted Williams who needed an opportunity and a little money and it would be a great story of overcoming difficult circumstances. We wanted to see him do good. We still do. Now we want it more, knowing that he needs more than dollars and a place to live. He needs help, he needs support, he needs professional intervention to help him regain control of the things in life that have held him back and away from those in his life who want him to be there in their lives healthy and whole again. It is possible, and maybe just maybe with that help, the power of prayer and the love and support of those who care about him he will stand a fighting chance.

If you see someone who needs help getting back on their feet…don’t be so quick to just hand over money. Think about what their circumstances really need to be turned around. Find a way to help that isn’t a quick fix. What are some ways to help a person in the same kind of situation as Ted Williams?

Minding your own business on Twitter can mean a multitude of things; truly harnessing the power of social media to interact with like-minded individuals to accomplish your goals.

I know it has been said quite often but there are people who love Twitter and there are those who just are purely unmoved by the impact that Twitter has. Much of that controversy depends I think on why you use Twitter and how you use it. I think in the beginning it was exactly what it said it was which is social media…meaning people used it to connect and socialize. Then came those who thought that they could harness the power of Twitter to make a killing with their businesses on it. Although many are finding that Twitter does indeed bring them much needed spotlighting on their area of impact…many more were disappointed in their expectation that Twitter was going to BE the answer to their business success.

Twitter is not a place to be a wallflower. You have to speak with others, comment on things that they say; break the ice with someone you may not be familiar with. You are in charge of who you accept into your Twitter stream or conversation by who you follow and who you allow to follow you. Choose wisely based on what you are trying to accomplish on Twitter. In other words, choose people to interact with who interest you, don’t offend you and last but not least people who support your personal growth as a person, business owner or in an area of impact that you wish to be a part of.

The most successful people who use Twitter still understand it’s basic component and that is the power of connection whether it be connecting to other Twitter users have a social relationship or to bring people together for a common cause, interest or purpose…Twitter is a boon. People who are already interested in your “business” aspect are predisposed to interact with you. If your business is to get a message out on a certain subject…there are people out there who are predisposed to interact with you. It is the same. Most importantly Twitter is about relationships. People who love Twitter get that. They harness that understanding to meet, greet and connect with like-minded people.

Like any positive and productive and long-standing relationship it needs time, attention and respect. Twitter not working for you? Think about how you are using it. Are you talking at people, or with people? Are you exchanging thoughts/ideas or interactions that not only benefit you but benefit others in a way that they can appreciate you?

So whatever you are about, wanting to share, hoping to achieve, wishing to impact; let’s remember that you need to be aware of not only “minding your own business” on Twitter; but consider some other issues as well. Take the time to support, encourage, draw out and interact with those people who you can enjoy some spending time with and be your authentic self; just like in your real, everyday offline life! Twitter is your social network whether you use it to connect to famous celebrities, find friendship, support social causes, spotlight non-profits, proclaim your faith, or brand your business and gain customers. Whatever you use Twitter for, just remember that your words have impact as do your connections & relationships; make the best of it.

Ted Williams featured on a viral video was homeless not helpless. There are others like him in the same situation; how can people help those who are homeless?

The media is bombarding us with a feel good story about a man by the name of Ted Williams. He has allegedly been homeless for quite some time as he struggled with drug and alcohol addictions, as well as legal problems. That is not all that unusual when you stop and consider the large number of people living on the streets and learn about their individual stories. Often you will find that there is a dependency on either drugs or alcohol, or even possibly a mental illness that often goes untreated. Some people ASSUME that homelessness is a choice for those who don’t want to work or who are just trying to escape from life. However, that is not fair nor is it accurate. People become homeless for a variety of reasons.

With the economic disasters of the last decade, there are more people out on the street because they have been uprooted by a sudden change in their finances. Military veterans often struggle with a return to civilian life and end up homeless. Runaways also can end up homeless after they have run through the willingness of their friends and family to allow them to couch surf for a period of time. Sometimes a runaway situation is by choice and sometimes it is out of a need for survival that they leave home. Again, people become homeless for a variety of reasons; and, it doesn’t have to be a permanent situation. People living on the street can also become a victim of violence, crime, or intimidation. Homelessness can be a reaction to a temporary situation in a person’s life. It does not have to mean a hopeless situation.

Ted Williams says that for the better part of 15 years he was homeless and living on the streets because of his addictions. Turning his life around and getting sober allowed him to have a dream. Growing up he had a desire to get into broadcasting for a career. The addictions took him on another path. Recently, he stood along the roadway with a handwritten sign proclaiming that he had a God given voice. A video was made of him by a reporter as he panhandled alongside the road; that video of him using his God given voice went viral. Since that time, he has had a whirlwind couple of days with job offers inundating him. He has the potential of seeing his aging mother who lives in Brooklyn, New York while he is doing all of these interviews with the major news networks. This opportunity to reconnect mother and son is an answer to both of their prayers. They both have said that they prayed to see him doing well again in life before she passed away. Their faith was rewarded by this reaction to the viral video.

I am sure that there are families all around the country with that same desire; to see their sons/daughters/fathers/mothers restored to a good place in life. This feel good story of Ted Williams could be true for many more people who are homeless. Ted has had an offer to work for the Cleveland Cavaliers and have a home again. How many other people that are presently homeless have hopes and dreams that could come true if someone took notice of them on the street and didn’t dismiss them as hopeless? it would be great if all of these opportunities being offered to Ted could be spread around to help others in the same situation.

Don’t get me wrong…I love this story about Ted Williams. I am happy for him and his family. I just can’t help thinking about the countless others who are still stuck on the street; caught up in drugs, alcohol, prostitution/human trafficking, or in an emotional/physical prison. Illegal activities often become a way of life when there is no steady income from a job. We need to focus some solutions to the problem on helping people to turn their lives around and become happy, healthy and productive individuals again. Look at what a little positive attention has done for Ted Williams and imagine the same effect on those that you pass on the street in the same predicament any other day of the week. How can you help? Donate time, food, blankets, money or your skills to those who work with the homeless. Employ them or help to educate someone; direct them to a safe shelter or to a counseling program which may be able to help them get back on their feet. Try to shed a little light into the dark corners of the world where people don’t often feel worthy of a better life!

The Mega Million Lottery Jackpot Fever reaches a high pitch. Tempting though it is, I am not buying a ticket...I could win or something traumatic like that!

Surely you’ve heard about the Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot in the news. Everyone in the media is going gaga over the $330 million jackpot winnings. People are dreaming big. Oh there is speculation on the lips of those that are interviewed about what they WILL do with their winnings (they haven’t even bought a ticket yet) and they are fantasizing about how THEIR money will be spent and how they will choose to collect it; either in a lump sum or, through long term annuity payments.

Players are standing in long lines to purchase their tickets. Even the “odds of winning” aren’t a deterrent to the most loyal of players…the 1 in 176 millionth of a chance of winning. Really? I wonder how someone convinces themselves that THEY are the one who WILL win the jackpot with those kind of odds. It really is gambling to spend money in the HOPES of taking the jackpot.

Although, there are those who spend serious money to try to even up the odds of winning to their benefit; by purchasing more than one ticket. Still, when you stop and think about it…doesn’t it really mean when they lose that they will just take a harder hit than the person to spends the bare minimum to purchase one chance to win?

I don’t play the lottery. First of all, people with my kind of luck just don’t win these things. Second of all, you hear about some of the winners of these huge lotteries who turn around and say, within a short period of time, I wish that I would have just torn up that ticket at the very beginning. That is not a high recommendation for praying for “good luck” when playing the lottery.

Those people have either lost their winnings, had the funds mis-managed, or been hit up with one kind of disaster after another, once they did win. Not to mention, because of winning the lottery; they were subjected to people coming out of the woodwork trying to get a portion of the money; thereby jeopardizing their relationships with many of the people in their lives and their communities. One of the winners I remember reading about lost a granddaughter to death, was sued by multiple people; and, seemed to have gained more problems than anyone would ever think possible. Often criminal, emotional, marital, or legal problems persist for winners of lotteries. Others become addicted to gambling or other high risk behaviors. For those who believe that winning will solve all of their problems in life; disappointment and disillusionment become a way of life.

Those issues are not an endorsement for wanting to win, right?

Winners are often told that 25% of the winnings go to the federal government. Forty one states are in on this particular jackpot…and of course, the states will have their own taxes that must be deducted from the winner’s take. It is highly recommended for people who are not already well blessed with finances and well versed in the world of high finance to seek out and (pay for) financial counselors, lawyers, accountants and investment bankers to advise them. (There would go another substantial amount of the winnings). I’ve always been taught that gambling is wrong…sinful, leads to all kinds of trouble.

It would be just my bad luck; if I violated what I’ve always been taught…I would WIN and suffer unbearably!

Those are all reasons why I am not buying a ticket. Even though it is tempting to think that all of a person’s financial problems could be wiped away in one moment…I won’t buy a ticket. I mean, geez; if you won that kind of money, you would always be worrying about losing it somehow. If you’ve never had it, you don’t have to worry about losing it, right? > So, it’s official; I’ve decided that no way am I going to risk winning the Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot this evening. LoL How about you, are you going to risk it?

Why can't television be used to build people up instead of tearing them down? Pepsi is running a competition for grant money-please vote for Definitive Voices.

A friend of mine made me aware of her latest project to use her voice and her time to make the world a better place. She is in the process of trying to secure a $250,000 grant to bring her program Definitive Voices to television to help non-profit, organizations and agencies bring positive changes to the world by educating people through it’s program about issues and solutions. Why can’t television be used to build people up instead of tearing them down through sarcasm, pranks, or other destructive means?

In any case, Jessica Angelique who is on Twitter as @DefinitveVoices and as @Jesicaangelique is a person who shines a light on organizations and non-profits that help people better the world through better living conditions, better self-esteem, and through building people up, one person at a time. She is a strong voice for cancer-livestrong organization, for children, clean water, self-esteem & empowerment, and for foster care. She is an author and a speaker; and, she is not afraid to connect to people who are in the position to effectively make changes that open the doorway to a better life for thousands of people everyday. She puts her money where her mouth is and donates money to help children in foster care.

She needs your help to win this grant. Pepsi is running a voting contest and you can go here to register and vote to help her to implement her vision in a large way; should she win the vote. http://www.refresheverything.com/definitivevoices Once you arrive there, at the bottom of the screen there will be a sign in spot. Sign in by entering an email and create a password. She is entered to win the $250,000 category to educate. Please help. Lives will be changed and improved and children will especially be blessed.

Jessica has connections with people from all over the globe who are like minded; it will be a powerful television show. Again I say, why can’t television be used to build people up instead of tearing them down? Be a vessel of empowerment…please register and vote daily until the 28th of February, 2010. It is very important to do this; you won’t be sorry that you took the time to do so!

The earthquake in Haiti has caused alot of suffering; when does a sensitivity towards those in need gravitate towards a life goes on moment?

This past week Haiti was devastated by an earthquake at Haiti’s capital city, Port au Prince. There has been alot of damage, horrible amounts of loss of life; and financial devastation to the people of Haiti who can ill afford to take any more loss of income. In Haiti, the people are among the poorest of the poor around the world; when compared to the land of plenty, in more properous nations.

Nations around the world are moved towards a sensitivity to the suffering of the Haitian people. Money and donations of life saving supplies are poring in however, getting the supplies to the most devastated areas are difficult. There is so much destruction and people are desparate. Medical care is critical and people have been being treated in the street and in tents. There is, and has been, a thin line between life and death.

Compassion is the fuel that moves people from merely hearing the news of the suffering and becoming involved and committed to doing what each person can to help. Many people are giving money, some are donating their skills and talents or their time-volunteering to help the people of Haiti. I read an article that made me question peoples awareness of their sensitivity towards others in need and their own need for a moment when life goes on in spite of what is happening around the world.

So, it came as a bit of a surprise to read an article about a cruise ship line that stops at a port in Haiti that has made the decision to continue stopping at their destination in Haiti. After reading about this, I couldn’t help reading the comments at the end of the article. There were people who were for the cruise ship line continuing to stop in Haiti. Those people were of the opinion that continuing to bring in tourists with their money would help to keep the Haitian people who were employed at the port working, providing them income during this time.

The problem is, from what I understand of the situation is that this particular port is on the far end of the island; somewhat removed from the devastated area. Still, those people who are employed do need jobs. They do need income. It was said that supplies were also carried in on the cruise ships. I don’t know if that is true or not…but, if it is…God bless them for delivering supplies to the island. The need is strong for medical supplies, food, water, blankets, shelter (many are homeless including the elderly and small children)…and there is a need for caregivers and adoptive families for those who are now orphans.

Those who criticized the cruise line were of the opinion that tourists had no business partying, drinking, and living it up on the island paradise when they knew full well that human beings were starving and dying of thirst for lack of clean and healthy water just across the island in the area of Port au Prince. The dead and the dying do not have instant access to the plenty that the cruise line passengers and those enjoying the comfort of the port. There were comments in this section that wondered how someone could possibly eat, drink and take advantage of the activities knowing of the intense struggle for survivial just miles away. Is it justification by saying that continuing to vacation there is bringing in money? Or is it true and therefore ok in the opinion of the reader here?

It just got me wondering…how the human spirit who is sensitive towards those in need decides at what point, life goes on? I mean, do you do all that you know to do to help, in your spirit and contribute what you can giving yourself permission to go about your business? Do you just ignore the suffering? Do you allow the situation to paralyze you and keep you from moving forward in your own life; attending to the daily issues at hand? Is it possible to find a balance of helping through charity, volunteerism, and prayer; and, living in gratitude for the gifts or blessings in your life? When is it ok for those who are sensitive to the needs of others in peril translate to a life goes on moment without guilt? It is going to take a long time for recovery; hopefully, people do not forget too soon and stop acting on the behalf of those suffering who have been traumatized by this natural disaster.

What are your thoughts as you read this blog post?

A couple of days ago I told you about Pastor Rick Warren’s plea for nearly a million dollars in donations for his church to continue doing ministry; the money was urgently needed by the end of 2009. Today he announced that he not only got the 90,000 dollars that they needed…WOW…2.4 million dollars came in from that letter announcing the urgent need.

Not only did more than twice the number of dollars come in, but he also says that none of the donations was more than $100 and it came from every day people…not from huge wealthy donors. In my earlier post I said that if a mega church like his was hurting then surely we all knew that smaller ones all around the world were in the same situation. The results of his letter with the plea is nothing short of a miracle and of his church members committment and dedication. Congratulations to them for being obedient to the call from their pastor.

This is also and encouragement at the beginning of a new year for every other church out there that is struggling…hang in there and be bold and strong in your belief that God is in control and obedience to God’s word is a big part of the equasion. Blessings!

Pastor Rick Warren makes a plea for donations as the demand increases for ministry to the needy; his church is not alone in its struggle to help those in crisis!

A news item caught my interest yesterday when I read about the plea from Pastor Rick Warren, of the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California to his parishioners to donate just shy of a million dollars before the new year began. I don’t know if he was able to meet his financial goal…but, his plea is a desperate plea echoed by hundreds of thousands of churches around the world. With the financial instability of the last couple of years, churches have been hit hard by the recession. Church members who have lost their jobs or had a reduction in the hours of their employment are struggling on a personal level and therefore…so are churches in their ministries to help the needy.

Cynical people who think that pastors are constantly “begging” for money from the pulpit may feel vindicated by news stories like this one about Pastor Warren’s plea for donations; but, they shouldn’t. Churches supply a huge role in helping people, in need, in communities all around the world. For the working poor, who often cannot get help from governmental agencies because they “earn too much money to qualify”, the local churches are a lifeline when it comes to seeing them meet the needs of families in their local communities. Many churches have a benevolence committee or a food pantry…some even have access to donated clothing or household items that families in crisis are in need of, but can’t afford to provide their loved ones.

Churches are often asked to help people pay their heating bills, or help them pay their rent, give them gas money so they can get back and forth to work, provide them with groceries or money for food to feed their children. The needs are great and becoming greater everyday with the homeforclosures, job layoffs or downsizings and with employees who lose their medical benefits and have to use their cash to provide medical needs to their dependents.

Churches are the silent heros (as they should be) in the struggle to provide for people in need; just as Jesus commands his followers to do, in his name, in the book of Matthew. In Matthew 25, the Bible talks about God judging on the day of judgement regarding helping those in need. In Matthew 25 vs. 40-46, He basically says that when we give to those in need; to the hungry, the thirsty, the unclothed, those in prison, it is as if we are giving to him and, if we do not give to those in need…it is as if we have denied him; we will be judged on whether we have been his hands and his feet in our service to others. It can mean the difference between going to heaven or going to hell in our eternal destination.

It is a hard heart that sees another person suffering in need and denies them help when they have the ability to positively impact their situation. The body of Christ, his churches, want to help…they desire to help…but, they are limited in their ability to help when they are often in the same situation as those who come and knock at the perverbial door of the church looking for assistance. Tithing or the giving back a tenth of the blessings that God provides his people is scriptual. We are supposed to give 1/10 of our wealth, our time, our skills-our blessings back to God…that is not much that he is requiring from us. I have a friend who has a passion to help others…she uses her talents to provide information to those who get much of their food from food pantries or food stamp programs…she teaches them to provide healthy and filling meals from the food in those programs. This is a link to her site as it ministers to others: http://foodstampscookingclub.com/blog/ She gives back to others out of her joy and her skills!

God does not need our money…but tithing is an obedience that he requires from us. He uses that obedience to him through our churches, our charities and our associations to meet the needs of the poor. It is a tool of ministry to reach the sinners who do not believe and to help provide for those who are believers as well who are going through struggles of their own. Are there people who will take advantage of this? Yes, but that is why there are guidelines set up for most ministry programs so that people do not abuse this ministry outreach, in most churches. That way, more people can receive the help and services of the church ministry programs.

So, when people pay their tithes in church…this money helps to keep the church functioning so that it can continue to be God’s hands reaching out to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of his people. It is wrong to sit in church, absorb all the good things that a spirit filled church provides and not give back; so those people who claim to be Christians and do not do as God commands by paying their tithes and giving of offerings…there are consequences…don’t be fooled into thinking that your obedience in this matter doesn’t count.

Don’t become jaded when that offering plate comes to you…or you hear a pastor asking for donations; it takes money to keep the lights on, heat the church building, pay the church staff, put gas in the church vans to bring in people who don’t have a car to drive, and minister to families in crisis, and couples whose marriages may be in trouble. Give of your time (volunteer), your skills, your money…your personal possessions when you have the opportunity; just because it is the right thing to do. If you don’t have money but have a skill that would benefit others…use it to help them. If you don’t have a skill or money but you have free time…become a volunteer and be a willing hand!

As a worker in my own church, I see the truth in how the church reaches out and blesses it’s people, the community and those in need. I want to do my part and be a blessing and not a curse. How about you…are you doing your part?

It is that time of year when we hear of Christmas miracles. Christmas is a time of joy, hope, love and sharing; but, that isn't true for everyone. This is an example of faith and love.

My thoughts on Christmas miracles has been at the forefront of my mind this holiday season, for the last week. Our family was struggling with with a few problems this year. One, I won’t go into because it is intensely private and affects others. Another was a severe illness that affected my mother requiring her to do some new, and innovative, but highly dangerous treatments. She had to use this pump device that tapped into her belly, delivering a medication aimed at reducing the blood pressure inside of her lungs; that high pressure was killing her.

There were no promises with this treatment…in fact, the doctors didn’t know if it would help her or not. Every few days the medication had to be increased. There were side effects, there was apprehension because of the responsibility burden. You see, this pump- like device has complicated programming. It has to be inserted through the stomach wall and be moved around every few days. Very few doctors or hospitals in the country are trained to have knowledge on treating patients with this device. My parents live in an extremely rural environment…the concern was valid; what if there was a medical emergency?

The miracle you say, what is the miracle? With a medical review this week after some testing last week has reveal the pulmonary blood pressure that was abornomally high, (115) when the normal, average person has a level of (20), has been miraculously reduced. People had been praying for my mother all around the country. She had gone from being a basically healthy person, to having to have oxygen 24 hours a day. She was told that this rare pulmonary hypertension disease was progressive and that she would never get any better; in fact, she would only get worse and it would kill her.

Here’s the thing, the doctors were positively amazed. In fact, the one doctor had to go back and verify her identity because as he said; if he were going strictly by the testing…he could not even comprehend how this was the same patient. He made her verify her identity because the testing revealed an almost impossible improvement. My mother went from a previous lung pressure of 115 down to an eye popping 18. That is back in the realm of what a healthy person without the disease of pulmonary hypertension has for pressure in their lungs.

We got this news yesterday….just in time for Christmas. God gave hope to a family who previously had hoped to only improve her situation because that was the best that we were allowed to hope for from the doctor’s prognosis.

What does that mean for her prognosis NOW? No one seems to know; as the doctors said, they have never had any patient respond to this medication in this way. They don’t know what will happen. She could get off of the oxygen completely, in the future, or at least, she may be reduced in her need for it. The doctors kept calling in other medical professionals yesterday to show them the results; and, to introduce them to a real live miracle…even the doctors called her that. That is powerful!

Switching gears, it’s not on the same level to some people…however, about a week ago one of our black labs became seriously ill. No one knew why. He was dehydrated, he was listless, he would not eat, nor play with his black lab brother…he was dying. We were devatated at the idea of loosing him; he is precious to us. We had people praying for him. He got to come inside and live in the basement while we fed him Gatorade with an eye dropper, while we were trying to rehydrate him and give him some nutrients. After a week, and many prayers by many people (including friends on the internet around the country); our dog is once again well enough to eat, to drink, to wrestle with his brother and to move back into his pen in the barn with his fluffy bed of straw and his pet CAT.

LOL, yes , I said his pet cat. A few weeks ago, my two dogs adopted a stray cat. The cat comes to the barn and their pen when there are no people around. The cat does not like people. This cat will lay down in the straw with the two dogs and they do not hurt each other. In fact, they are great companions. If we humans go out to play with the dogs, or to feed the animals…the cat scrambles to run away and hide. It only comes back when we are gone. The cat was homeless until my dogs adopted it. These animals are a community to one another; if animals can do this, take care of one another…why can’t human beings be more loving and giving? God commands us to care for those who are poor or in need…I am amazed that my animals have more compassion towards others than many people do for one another!

While my dog Chance was sick…this cat would go to their pen and look for my dogs. It appeared to be upset that they were not there. Now they are reunited. A homeless cat, a formerly ill dog, his brother and they are a healthy happy family once again…just in time for Christmas.

You know, for each person who is filled with joy, laughter and hope…there are hurting people who are struggling with sadness, pain, depression or loss. I am asking you to be a light…in whatever capacity you can be this season and every day of your life. Don’t just think on these things at the holiday season…make it a year round way of living.

This may require some sacrifice on your part. Share some of what you have, whether it be joy, a listening ear, time or money. Give a little of what you have been blessed with…even if it hurts a little or costs you something; you will be blessed for it. Live in gratitude that you have things to give and share with others, many others do not.

I read a story on the internet today that both saddened me and filled me with many uplifting emotions as well. A church in Vermont has been struggling with their finances so much that they can’t keep up the repairs on their church. While some may see that as a lack of ability to be good stewards of their finances…others with more wisdom, know that there is more to the story. You see this church also runs a homeless shelter. They feed and house many people who are without the basic things that many of us take for granted. Their finances are running low and they had to find a way to add to their finances or close down their homeless shelter.

That would be a horrible thing…so they decided to do something that will sacrifice a material, Earthly thing that they cherish…a Tiffany, stained- glass window that is 100 years old. This window has added much to this church and they value it. Here is the important lesson, they value those people in the homeless shelter even more than they do the Tiffany window! They have an offer right now, to sell this window for $75,000 dollars.

Do they want to sell it? No! Will they sell it if they have to? Yes! So, if you know someone who has money to spare…and they want to buy it…send them this link. Maybe the church can get more for the window; or, maybe they will get a Christmas miracle and someone will take mercy on them and just donate enough money to keep the shelter open, allowing them to fix up their church building, and keep the 100 year old Tiffany window that tells a biblical story. Here is the link to the story on ABC news…feel free to share it! http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=9404724 Spread the word of the situation; and, spread the hope and joy of the season…maybe they too will have a story to share of faith and another Christmas miracle! Be a light people.

Rapid Cash Marketing teaches methods of earning money through internet marketing skills and techniques in a realistic way to add cash to your pockets.

This time of year is difficult for many people financially. It is hard to come up with enough cash to meet all of your needs normally but then you throw in the cost of the holidays as well as the extra money needed to heat your homes during the winter and it can become overwhelming. Everyday there are people looking to the internet to learn how to add to their incomes. Job loss and financial uncertainity is frightening when you don’t know how you will find the cash to pay your bills or feed your family. For those who have searched seriously for a program or solution to their problem, they have discovered that many of those programs or coaches cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars; if not thousands, that they just don’t have to spend.

However, for those that do spend….they are quickly overwhelmed when they discover the amount of new skills and knowledge that they must acquire before they can even begin to make lots money…not to mention the discouragement that sets in when they realize how long it will be before they learn enough to make that huge investment of money back. It just isn’t practical to spend thousands and wait 12 months to 2 years to learn enough knowledge and skills to make your money back. Marketing is a system for selling products or services; and, because it is a system…that means there are many components.

What if you could learn some of the techniques that would bring in enough money to pay an extra bill or two a month? Would that be a benefit to you? I am sure that it would. Rapid Cash doesn’t promise to make you millions or guarantee that you will be driving a new car in a week…that is foolishness. On the other hand, Rapid Cash can add enough cash to your pocket to help take some of the pressure off the average person’s monthly struggles http://tinyurl.com/djr2a7 .

You see, what alot of those big named gurus and their programs promise you is unrealistic when you think about it. In their sales pages and videos…they are flaunting their cars, their mansions and piles of money. Yes it is possible to acquire those things; however, what they often don’t tell you is that it has taken them years and tons of money to learn how to earn the kind of skills and knowledge needed to make that happen. It does not happen overnight like that for the average person. It takes alot of work…and a whole lot of expert help to get to that level.

People are often manipulated by those ads to believe that they can achieve that level of success quickly. Realistically, learning is a process and everyone has to start somewhere. I am an affiliate for Rapid Cash Marketing. http://tinyurl.com/djr2a7 They teach you how to use skills and knowledge to earn extra money while you learn those other things about making money online, learning a proven, in- depth internet marketing system that can lead to a higher level of internet marketing success.

There is a team of coaches who are there to teach you how to pick up extra cash to supplement your income with skills that you may already have or can quickly develop. They are knowledgable in many areas and use these skills themselves to earn money online. Do you have digital photo experience, interviewing skills, graphic arts skills, writing skills, direct marketing skills, writing sales letters, video skills, voice over abilities, editing skills, etc? The list goes on…but, if you could learn how to use those skills in an effective way to earn enough money to take the edge off of your present financial situation it would be a blessing right?

If you are willing to learn and willing to take action towards achieving some financial success online then check out this link: http://tinyurl.com/djr2a7 Yes, I will get a financial reward if you were to purchase…but, if their program improved your finances; then, I think you would thank me anyway! I think you will see the wisdom in investing a small amount of money that will quickly repay your investment if you put in the effort to do what the successful internet marketers Jeff Wellman, Dixie Brown, and Paul Counts instruct you to do.
